Speckled Trout are common in the waters around Venice with most fish weighing in the 2-4 pound range.   These fish are tough and aggressive.  Pound for pound they are some of the best fighting fish you will hook.

Speckled Trout are also very good eating fish and with the limit being 25 fish per person you are sure to fill your cooler quickly.
